there are many different kinds of complainers found in the bible.
david was a whiner. these type of people wake up negative. they may rise but they will not shine. they rise and whine.
some people get up saying, good morning, LORD. the whiner get's up saying, good LORD it’s morning.
you know what i'm talking about? the poor me approach to life.
the whiner and david whines all through the psalms. psalm 73.11-14 is an example of this, what's going on here? is GOD out to lunch? nobody's tending the store. the wicked get by with everything; they have it made, piling up riches. i've been stupid to play by the rules; what has it gotten me? a long run of bad luck, that's what— a slap in the face every time i walk out the door.
david is saying, hey how come the bad guys are prospering? at least i’ve been trying to live for GOD and i don’t get any breaks. have you ever felt like that?
that's not what GOD wants CHRISTIians to be, HE wants us to be different. philippians 2.14-15 do everything readily and cheerfully—no bickering, no second-guessing allowed! go out into the world uncorrupted, a breath of fresh air in this squalid and polluted society.
